I came to harbin to get away from everything. I'm from the states and as far as i'm concerend I'm dead there for the three or four years i'll be here. It mind-blowingly cheap to live here, and you can pretty much be yourself and meet people with alot in common with your inner adventurer. It's a bit extreme life change, but that's how i roll. The downside is that the western community is pretty tight and everyone will know your business. You just have to be cool and take life as it comes around here. As for bar fights, just know how to tolerate you alcohol, avoid eye-contact with strangers, and try to calm down your friends if they start acting up....
